I so enjoyed photographing these three lovely ladies this week, it was an adventure for sure. We had boxes and bags of clothing over flowing out of my Sequoia and all over the sidewalk. It’s was a hoot to say the least. We had very limited time and I was a bit worried about not getting enough of each of them but as most things do it worked out perfectly in the end. I can’t express enough how much I love photographing this age of life, it is such an exciting yet challenging time. Becoming an adult, making plans Ahhh…Ok, enough about that. We have so many gorgeous pictures to share with you…seriously could these girls possibly be any more beautiful? I think not! I had never done this kind of group senior shoot before but I simply love it. There was so much energy and there was no compromise of capturing individuality at the same time. I love how each one has such a different vibe to their shoot, something that is very important to me.

This is my new little niece, she has my heart. She’s not only as cute as a button but she smells like a piece of heaven and the best part is I get to keep her…well you know kiss and love her as if she’s mine.

I am so happy for my beautiful sister and her husband for the many fun times they have ahead of them. Nothing could or ever will prepare someone enough for the challenges and joys of being a parent. It’s almost too good to be true.

Spring is by far my favorite time to shoot. All the newness in the air makes me excited for what’s just around the bend. There is nothing more exciting than a new little baby in the family, it was such a pleasure to document this sweet family who is waiting their new little arrival. It was a bit more windy and chilly than we predicted but even big sis Olivia was up for the challenge. She was just as cute as can be. Getting her to stop for one single second was serious luck, she was on the move move move. Seriously though how much cuteness is one girl really allowed to get away with. She is beyond…

Spring has sprung here in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. I had a small space of time available this week to do a little mini shoot with my beautiful sister, nothing I love more than spring pictures. I love that in these images you can almost smell the fragrance of the blooms and feel the brush of the wind. We will need to get back out there when the sun is not so high and get some dancing light pictures.

She sure is beautiful; I can’t believe how much she looks like my beautiful mother!

There is really not much in this world that can compare to the journey a woman takes to become a mother. It is such a special emotional bonding time that begins to prepare us for our greatest task in life. As beautiful as it is for a father, that bond between unborn baby and mommy is something to behold. The time of preparation and dreaming come to a close with the most beautiful gift that one can receive in this world…a life.
Amazing how she was there in the room with us just kicking up a storm. In my mind pregnancy is one of the most peaceful times in life, the times I will forever cherish. These photographs are a small look at the story of my beautiful sisters journey to motherhood. Her perfect baby girl who’s name is a secret (grrrr) has been a bit impatient and because of some uterine irritability she has been on bed rest from 25 weeks. Even though it has not been easy you can still see that peace she has as a mother in wait. Seriously I have watched her become a mother in these weeks, the sacrifice and patience that comes with having another life to consider before our own. I am so excited for these parents in waiting. I am so proud of what an amazing mother she is already and I can’t wait to meet little no name. ha

Sarah you are beautiful…you always are but this tummy suits you! :)
